Have had a terrible bout of food poisoning, coupled with trying to get ready to leave for Florida, well, I have shirked my responsibilities to this blog- and to to a few other things as well.

As I struggle to get back in the groove- and I will return to writing each day for the next month at least- I thought I would just give you a piece I found about Troy Tulowitski.  Long been thought of as the heir to the strong short-stop tradition, with the talk of Jeter’s retirement, there will continue to be rumblings about Tulowitski in the Bronx after 2014, as Troy E Renck points out. Is that fair to Tulowitski?  Would he really want to try to step into those shoes?  If it happens, the money will make the attempt worth it, one would think.  But could anyone ever live up to Derek Jeter’s persona?

Would love to hear from Yankee fans as to what they think on this.

Living up to Derek Jeter’s persona is easy.
It’s simplicity is what makes it so beautiful.
One goal . .. Winning the World Series!
It’s not about stats, records, ego or money.
Just one goal.
Doesn’t get much easier than that !
