I headed over to Ft Myers to catch a Twins game where they are hosting te Rays, and was lucky enough to get their early enough to catch an intrasquad game on a back field.
The players were mostly spring invites and a few players from the major league squad not expected to play I today’s game on the big field.
The fun thing about these games is that you have a mix of big Twins fans who know their minor league prospects and then family of players. As the game ended and I headed to the ballpark, I spotted GM Terry Ryan surrounded by reporters answering questions about the players he had just watched.
And one of the special things about this ballpark is how easy it is for fans to just walk over and find some great activity on the ballpark for free. I am not able to get a video clip posted just yet, but check back later for more on the Twins experience. See the clip here: http://youtu.be/7SgyWQ9AKGg
