November 10, 1965 - San Francisco Giants centerfielder Willie Mays wins his second MVP 11 years after winning his first with the club while it was still based in New York. Mays hit more than 50 home runs for the first time in 10 seasons, the longest time span between 50 home run seasons in league history.
