Boston Red Sox infielder Kevin Youkilis and his charity, Hits for Kids, is an organization dedicated to rallying local and corporate support for charities and organizations focused on the health and well-being of children. Hits for Kids pairs up with existing children’s charities and medical research programs in New England and in Youkilis’s hometown of Cincinnati to help raise money and awareness.

Youkilis recognizes the importance of a support structure for kids to succeed and is striving to provide one for those children who are unfortunately dealing with medical or emotional distress, the prospect of going through the day without the support of a loving and nurturing family, or living within a community that lacks the resources for them to grow and learn.  Many small charities lack efficient funds to remain viable and continue to help children.  By partnering with Youkilis and his organization, these smaller charities have an instantly identifiable face and receive a  boost in funding and recognition.
