Sitting in Richmond County Savings Bank Ballpark watching the NY-Penn League All-Stars take batting practice as large cargo ships float by.  I am sure it sounds more exciting than it is- but the game should be very exciting for all of these young men who, for the first time in their professional careers will step onto a baseball field as an All-Star.  Most likely, these are the men we will one day be watching in the mid-summer classic- yet that is probably a few years away.  Next year, these young men will start at high A baseball, and perhaps make it to AA.  But for now, here they are.

There are still some tickets available for tonight’s game, which begins at roughly 7pm.  If you have the time and inclination- you should pop out to Staten Island and watch the start of the future as they should the league their stuff.

More from here as the day progresses- including some photos, so pop on again before the night is over.

And for those of you missing Tuesday Trivia today- keep your eyes peeled, as there still is the chance that a question will pop up!
