No, I am talking about Bruce Springsteen, who has long been called the Boss. I am talking about George Steinbrenner, who passed away this morning from a heart attack. There is only one obit you need to read if you want to know more about the man, it is that written by his biographer Bill Madden. Madden released a book last month on the Yankee owner- a brilliant page turner I might add.
Steinbrenner changed sports on all levels with his concept of branding, marketing and broadcasting.
It is not surprising that he would pass today, in some ways. He always wanted the headlines on New York papers to be about the Yankees. Tomorrow they might have been focused on the All-Star game or some other sporting sporting news. Not now. They will be about him- may he rest in peace.

He was a vile man who treated people horribly. The ushers, vendors and elevator operators at the Stadium are jumping for joy.
