I didn’t post anything about Father’s Day yesterday- I couldn’t find the right piece, and I spent a big part of the day cooking too much food.  But today, I have found just a beautiful piece about John McDonald who, two days after burying his father, hit a home run in his first return at bat.  The elder McDonald was an umpire in East Lyme, Connecticut and passed away last Tuesday from cancer.  This piece was written by Jordan Bastian, and even though the Blue Jays lost, the team shared a special day.
