Just a quick John Fay piece about Cincinnati Reds recent call-up Chris Heisey, who is hitting the cover off the ball, and reveling in every day that he gets to be in the big leagues.  Most likely he will be sent back down when outfielder Chris Dickerson returns from the DL, but until then he is appreciating every day- especially the raise.

While Heisey only made $7,000 dollars all of last year while playing minor league ball, the call up gets him more than $2,000 each day he spends on the active 25-roster.  It should allow him and his wife to move out of her parents house this off-season.
