I struggle when writing this blog with how much personal information to share. I think there are so many blogs that get into folks personal lives that it just feels voyeuristic unless there is some purpose behind it.
But today I am lost. I could write a bit about K-Rod and how he is being used to save Manuels job, as David Waldstein writes. I could spend hours picking apart the announcement that the Rangers have filed for Chapter 11 in order to end the stalemate of the sale of the team with the creditors. Maury Brown has that covered though.
I am having a hard time because yesterday I was careless. I was carrying to much stuff on my way to Connecticut, and I left one bag behind on the train. The problem is that one bag was my laptop bag. Yep. My only computer. It has all my writing, and the files needed to update this site. It has all my interviews, only some of which have been backed up. And it has thousands of photos of ballpalks- just waiting for the next incarnation of the stadium review section.
There is a chance I will get it all back. There is a chance that the metro-north conductor found it, and decided he didn’t need an apple computer and that he turned it in, and it is safely in the yard. The thing is I can’t find that out.
All lost and found sit in the train yard until a designated person comes to retrieve it and return it to lost and found at Grand Central Station. That can take days apparently. Until that time, I am left sitting and wondering just what else is on that computer with no back-up. I am left wonderng about the “bigger meaning” and all that.
I may spend time today watching replays of games from last night, trying to find some normalcy. I have enough info on a flash drive to prep my classes for tomorrow, so that will get done too.
But today, I don’t have any insight to add to the baseball world- and I am even thinking this might be the sign that its time to stop writing. The good news is that tomorrow, I will get another chance. Just like the Rays, Indians, Pirates and the Angels.
I will try to get the Tuesday Trivia up- but that is dependent on tracking down the image for today’s product. My apologies to those who come here daily. Its just hard to think about how to do this effectively, without all the normal tools.

That’s awful Johanna. I hope everything turns up ok. There are a lot of good people out there so hopefully someone will do the right thing!
