I ended up spending a several hours at the Baseball Hall of Fame yesterday. If you have never been, you should start planning your trip- especially if you are from the northeast United States. While Induction weekend can be quite fun to see all the living greats who have played the game, these quiet off-season days can be an extra special time to explore the Hall unimpeded.
There won’t be anyone there to get in your way from standing next to the plaque of your favorite, and its very easy to move around the exhibits that represent each team, each record and each big moment in the history of baseball.
I took a small piece of video, to give you a sense of the hall the plaques sit in- and to show you the plaques of the original 5 inductees: Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson, and Honus Wagner - given name Johannes Wagner. Also, you will see two statues that stand at the end of the great hall. I want to emphasize that this is only a tiny bit of what you will see, both in the Hall and in the town of Cooperstown. Don’t wait, visit the hall long before the summer gets here.
Again, here is the video- its just me with a small flip cam, so it gets a little shaky here and there- but I think it gives you a sense of it.
