I may not have told this story in awhile, but I played baseball when I was little, and wasn’t a bad hitter- the problem?  I threw like a girl, and then,  where I was from, no one thought you could teach a girl how  to throw correctly.  I played second because second to first was about as far as I could throw, but I hated the ball coming to me.  Eventually, I stopped playing the field- only being allowed to pinch hit.  My interest went down hill fast.  Thankfully, now coaches know better.  But you can see why I am excited about this weeks Tuesday Trivia sponsor GoGoSportsgirls.com.

Go! Go! Sports Girls have created series of dolls aimed at girls age 4-12 that promote healthy, athletic lifestyles.  The dolls are made by Dream Big Toy Company who donates a portion of profits from the sale of the the Girls to organizations that encourage girls to particpate in physical activity and develop healthy lifestyles.  The Girls come in a variety of styles representing different sports, including basketball, golf, tennis and gymastics.  Of course don’t hesitate to check out the full line. Today, though, GoGo SportsGirls.com is giving away a Sam the softball girl to this week’ Tuesday Trivia winner.  Simply leave your answer in the comment box below to receive this prize.

Because of the new law requiring bloggers to tell you why we are promoting the product, I have to say we are receiving no compensation for the telling you about Go! Go! SportsGirls, other than the prize donated to winner.  It’s just a fresh approach to the world of dolls that I wish I had when I was a girl.

Tuesday Trivia: There have been three women to be the principal owner of a MLB team.  Joan Kroc and Jean Yawkey both inherited their teams when their husbands passed away.  The third female owner is the only woman to have purchased her team herself.  Can you name her?
