This year the Lovemyteam.com Fan Friendly Seal of Approval recognizes 4 Major League Baseball players for their generosity of spirit towards baseball fans everywhere and also for their recognition of the fans’ importance to the game.
We couldn’t have gotten 4 more deserving candidates. In the past, we have celebrated 5 players per year, but the voting this year was clear- these four stood head and shoulders above all others.
Vote for your favorite Fan Friendly player for the 2011 season!
The 2010 recipients of the Fan Friendly Seal of Approval are:

Torii Hunter
It’s Torii Hunter’s first time being honored with a LoveMyTeam Fan Friendly Award, and it couldn’t be more deserving. As one fan pointed out, Hunter even “took the time to sign autographs in Fenway Park during the ALDS this year!” Besides reaching out to fans in the stands, Torii also does work in the community through The Torii Hunter Project. Thanks Torii for always thinking of us. (Photo courtesy of Angels Baseball) |

Brian Roberts
After a year away, Brian returns to the Fan Friendly Award winner’s list for his third award. Brian has consistently been a bright spot for the Orioles, and for their fans, and his election to this roster shows that. Brian has done a tremendous amount of work to benefit the University of Maryland Hospital for Children. Thanks Brian for giving fans a special reason to go the yard. |

Nick Swisher
Nick Swisher’s smile lights up the stadium, but that isn’t the only reason fans voted Swish Fan Friendly. Its how he makes his fans feel. Said one fan, “he makes you feel you are doing him a favor when you engage him” at the ballpark. Nick also does a lot of charity work. Check out his website for more information about Swish’s Wishes. Thanks Nick, keep on smiling! |

David Wright
This is the fourth year in a row that David has won the Fan Friendly Award. That must mean, as one fan pointed out, that he really “is the poster child for everything that is right in baseball.” David doesn’t just give back on the field, but also through his David Wright Foundation Thanks David, and keep it up! |

Torii Hunter is a great choice. One year at Spring Training - he pulled out of the parking lot and stopped to sign for fans. Then drove a little ways and stopped again so more fans could join in. I’ve got a ton of stories about how great he is with fans. You couldn’t pick a better recipient!
