This weeks Tuesday Trivia contest is once again sponsored by TDC games and the prize is their  1000 piece Pennant Puzzle!  Don’t let the packaging fool you, its a pretty cool puzzle with pennants from all the franchises prior to the 1992 expansion. We did ours, and even glued it together!   If you have already won a puzzle, you are not eligible for this contest!  To win, enter the correct answer in the comment section below.

Derek Jeter was named the 2009 Sportsman of the year by Sports Illustrated. Since the magazine started giving the award in 1954, many baseball players have won it, beginning with Johnny Podres of the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955. (Podres pitched two complete games in the World Series for wins, and allowed only 2 earned runs in his starts.)  The Red Sox were the last baseball entity to win the award in 2004.  For the puzzle, name two other baseball players not already mentioned that have won the Sportsman of the Year award.

Yaz and Stan the Man are correct. Also, Sandy Koufax, Pete Rose, Tom Seaver, Willie Stargell, Orel Hershiser, Cal Ripken, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson shared it.

Nicely done Mike!
