There is still discussion around that Alex Rodriguez hasn’t done enough to make him a true Yankee yet. Unbelievable. 19 RBI’s in the World Series. There may have been a time where one guy could carry a team to a World Series ring, but that time is not now. The Phillies can hit, they can field and they can pitch.
And then their is Mark Teixeira, who hasn’t hit a lick. I know he’s the new guy, but since we can all see his value with the glove their hasn’t been much need to talk about how how poor his bat has been. The Yankees wouldn’t be in the World Series without Alex Rodriguez- do we all know that?
They couldn’t win it without him, not against these Phillies. If you can’t buy into Rodriguez, and recognize his value to the team at this point, then you are looking for reasons not to like him. That’s fine. You don’t have to like him. But lets be clear, he couldn’t do much more than he has done in this series.
