This is petty, but so much was made about Minaya and the way he supposedly nervously repeated the words investigation and investigating when he was asked about the Tony Bernazard incident in Binghamton. Well, did anyone see the press conference where he announced that David Wright was going on the DL? He must have said “15 day DL” about 20 times. I think several sentences actually had the phrase in it twice. So, lets cut the man a break. He is handsome. He can evaluate talent. He can charm players like Pedro and Delgado into signing, but he is not a good public speaker. Remember, we had a President that was not the best public speaker for about 8 years. Let’s not hold that against him in his role as GM.
