Tomorrow will mark the 50 year anniversary of the intergration of the Boston Red Sox. The Sox were the last of the then 16 major league teams to integrate when the promoted Elijah Pumpsie Green. Scott Olster inverviews Green about his experiences with the Sox and throughout his playing career. Its hard today to imagine that 12 years after Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier that Green still should have had to endure the things he did. Stiil, in this year when we look at all the steps that it took to overcome racism to elect an African-American president -whether you like Obama or not- Pumpsie Green must be included as one of those steps.
