After a week off due to scheduling snafu’s, Tuesday Trivia returns on Tuesday, how about that!
In honor of Michael Street’s review of the various baseball forecasting tool books available, this week’s prize will be a copy of the 2009 Baseball Propsectus!
Today’s question actually comes to us from this past weekend games:
There are 5 players in the 500 home run club that began their major league career at shortstop- Can you name all 5?
If no one has gotten all 5 by noon tomorrow, the prize will go to the person that has gotten the most correct– hopefully that leads to a lot of guessing!

Rodriguez, Banks, Schmidt, Killebrew, Mantle?
opps, Sheffield instead of Mantle.
Very close Mike, but don’t have all 5…. anyone else got a guess?
WAS THIS A TRICK QUESTION ONLY FOUR PLAYERS I KNOW OF STARTED THEIR MAJOR LEAGUE CARRER AT SHORTSTOP-
A-ROD,SHEFF,BANKS,SCHMIDT
CODY DEEGAN
Those four are correct, and its no trick.. there is one more than the four you got Cody.
Rodriguez, Banks, Schmidt, Sheffield, Hank Aaron (negro league)
The five correct are Rodriguez, Banks, Schmidt, Sheffield, Mantle? Mike K is our winner as he was the first one to get four correct. In reality, he got all five, he just replaced the wrong player in his original guess when he added Sheffield. Nicely done, and thanks for all the guesses!
