Justin Masterson, pitcher for the Red Sox came in yesterday for a spot start in place of Dice-K Matsuzaka who is rehabbing (or pehaps just spring training) his arm. Masterson is a pitcher I have really liked for a long time, he throws hard and steps up in big spots. Is he consistant? Not yet, and not anymore than most pitcher his age and with his experience. He can touch 98, as he did, but doesn’t have to throw that hard to get batters out. He can start, but could also be a closer on teams that don’t have Jonathan Paplebon. Nick Carfardo can tell you more about yesterday’s game, but I wanted to at least mention Masterson’s performance since our prize today is something perfect for anyone who has enjoyed a game at Fenway park.
The ball from TDC games is a cool souvenir to remind you of your visits to Fenway, be they ones already made or ones still to come. TDC makes an series of these ball, several of which we will be offering up as prizes, but just a reminder, if you win once from TDC, including the puzzle last week, you are not eligible to win another prize from that sponsor in the next 6 months. To win, simply leave your answer in the comments section below, if you are the first to get it right, you will be contacted as to where to sent the ball.
Here is the question: Who was the last Red Sox pitcher to lead his team in wins the year after he led his team in saves?
Good Luck!

Tuesday Trivia - Is it Luis Tiant?
Derek Lowe
Bob Stanley?
Let’s go with Ike Delock 1957 and 1958!
Ben Johnson gets it right! Derek Lowe lead the Sox with 24 saves in 2001, and won 21 games, 1 more than Pedro Martinez, in 2002. Nicely done!
And I’m a Yankee Fan! My wife, who is a Red Sox fan will enjoy the ball immensely!
