Ray Ratto on Opening Day Starters

Some days the blog comes easy, some days the blog comes hard.  Might have been my late night rottisserie draft last night, and Sportslines faulty software that has made this morning so tough.  But while I continue to look for ideas on where Gary Sheffield might be playing after Thursday, I thought I would give you this piece by Ray Ratto.

For just a hint of what the piece offers:

There are some perennials: Roy Oswalt in Houston, Roy Halladay in Toronto, Mark Buehrle and Carlos Zambrano in Chicago, Jake Peavy in San Diego. There are also some names that only the most devoted fans can command, and only then with prompting - John Lannan in Washington (replacing the equally anonymous Matt Chico), Paul Maholm in Pittsburgh (replacing Ian Snell), Ricky Nolasco in Florida (instead of Mark Hendrickson, who is now listed as the fifth starter in Baltimore), and Aaron Cook in Colorado (as opposed to Kip Wells).

As we draw close to opening day, the piece tells quite a bit of how teams fortunes have change.  I mean, Mark Hendrickson?
