Really Curt’s new gig is focused on his old one. Last week, Schilling closed his personal blog 38pitches.com and has begun writing for Boston’s WEEI where he will continue to share whatever is sitting at the top of his head. On 38 pitches he says he has full editorial control, and honestly that is what the station wants. Uncensored Schilling is worth some money. Anyway, his first post is a great recount of how the trade between the Diamondbacks and the Red Sox went down, from Schilling’s perspective, with a Thanksgiving theme. It a two parter, and a long piece, but it gives an interesting view into Schilling and into how some negotiations might take place. Good Sunday reading for anyone missing baseball.
The new stuff will start cooking near the end of this week, as everyone gears up for the Winter Meetings. Of course, I am heading there, so will do my best to set the scene of what is happening. In the meantime, I want to remind each of you not to forget about the Fan Friendly voting. Though our readership has tripled in the past year, the voting has dropped significantly, so please share the site with your friends and share your stories about those players who, to you are Fan Friendly.
