Involved with the NYC marathon the next couple of days, so my posting is going to be a little erratic. For the early Saturday reader, I thought I would pop up this great post from Paul DePodesta about the Padres “plan”. Its a nice layout of the plan, and a great way to get your fans to buy into the plan.  Podesta also does a great job of telling you how hard it is to implement the plan once you make it, as shown by the very few numbers of players that make it from draft day to their third year in the major leagues. A front office guy sitting down and sharing this is big, so I want to support it but sending you all to read him as often as seems fitting.
