Think you sitting in the stands don’t have the power to change what is happening on the field?  I often yell at those around me at Shea (particularly this season) to try to get them into the game.  I haven’t taken off my shirt… not sure the affect that would have but, Rick Melanson is sure he inspired the Sox during Game 5.  In a feature in the Boston Globe in which the subjects of Sam Grossfeld’s photos tell the story behind them.  The photo is priceless, but the story might change what you think the role of the fan actually is.
