Well, I don’t feel I will be going out on a limb when I say that the 2007 Devil Rays could be one of the worst teams ever fielded.  I watched them play a split squad of Indians yesterday and because of the pitching and fielding it was nearly a 4 hour game, something unheard of springtraining where commercials can’t be blamed for dragging out the length of a game.  Their roster is filled with guys that no one has ever heard of, and not just because they have spent a lot of time in the minors, but because they weren’t even considered prospects that could ever get to the big leagues, they were roster fillers.

Yesterday evening I was fortunate to see a nearly starting lineup of Yankees play the Reds at legends field. The Reds brought a bunch of young players and. Especially pitchers and, I have to say they did a pretty good job against one of the best lineups in baseball.  The game was scoreless until late in the game, which tells me that last years Reds success was not entirely due to a weak division and that there is a lot of things to be hopeful about for the Reds fans.

Today I am again seeing the Reds this time take on the Detroit Tigers with both teams nearly fielding their opening day lineups. Aaron Harang vs. Nate Robertson so it is a great matchup.
